When Marcel joined Solvinity in February 2024, he hit the ground running. “From day one, I saw so many opportunities to make our IT-environment even better,” he shares. His mission? To improve processes, increase efficiency, and take our enterprise IT to the next level.
Smarter workflows, better results
Marcel quickly identified key areas where we could work smarter. Together with the team, he mapped out bottlenecks in our processes that were slowing us down. The solution? A custom-made dashboard providing real-time insights into tasks and workflows.
“This dashboard became the central hub for everything we do,” Marcel explains. “It gives us the tools to stay on top of our work, tackle problems proactively, and deliver high-quality results on time.”
The impact was immediate. Teams could better prioritize, track tasks more easily, and avoid delays, resulting in faster and smoother processes. At Solvinity, every Solvineer can take responsibility and make a difference. Marcel is a great example of this mindset in action.
A dynamic duo
In July 2024, Marcel brought Bas van der Veen on board. “Bas is a pro at keeping daily operations running smoothly,” says Marcel. While Marcel focused on projects and innovation, Bas took responsibility for the RUN activities, ensuring daily performance was on point.
Bas’s meticulous approach and strategic mindset were invaluable. “It’s not just about fixing problems,” Bas explains. “It’s about preventing them in the first place and always staying one step ahead.” Thanks to this approach, Marcel and Bas, together with the team, were able to secure a three-year contract with a customer.
From reactive to proactive
By September 2024, Marcel and Bas shifted their focus to proactive management. Their daily routine includes analyzing incidents, brainstorming preventative measures, and finding ways to resolve customer inquiries faster.
“We’re not just resolving tickets more quickly,” Bas emphasizes. “We’re building systems to ensure customers don’t need to have to call as often.”
One of their latest projects? A new employee portal designed to give everyone at Solvinity the insights they need to start their day right. “It’s all about empowering our people to do their best work,” Marcel adds. “Solvineers thrive when they take ownership and go for it.”
Looking ahead
The team is excited about what’s next. “Continuous improvement is our motto,” Marcel says. “We don’t follow trends; we set them.”
Bas agrees: “Our goal is simple—to exceed customer expectations time and time again.”
